Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her signature spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of eating out and offers straightforward, simple techniques to master for the at-home cook in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the cuisine of Italy. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I was awed by every moment." I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was in Italy for a year, attending classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. She also worked in La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin star restaurant) in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes.
