Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host with spiky blond locks and a lively persona, shows how to prepare restaurant-style meals at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. She also has explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, along with the natural landscape. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and eating in her early years. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by registering in The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating Chef Burrell lived in Italy for a whole year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she was able to fully appreciate and understand the philosophy behind Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact on her culinary point of view. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor, she travels around the United States to discuss her love for cooking and professional career. Anne often has mentioned throughout her culinary career she is incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to communicate with people what is essential to her.
