Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko won another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold medal in 2011 and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko set the professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the win via a second round TKO after which she won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to get a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing after which she took a lengthy absence in MMA. She came back in 2017 when she faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui by a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in the same decision. She left the club and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina showed off her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera using knees. Antonina was offered the UFC deal following her win. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi on the split decision. Antonina bounced right back after losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three fights before losing her next three fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
